Its for 2000-07 5.9's.
Maybe youre lift pump isnt working at all? How do you have it setup? It should replace the top of your fuel filter. We need as much detail as you can supply about your install - were good but were not mind readers.
What kind of gauge? Electric or mechanical/isolator or no isolator? Pics would also help.

I didn't know they made one of those. I don't really like it considering the number of times it will come on and off with fitler changes but that's just me.
On an '06 that isn't modded this is unlikely about the LP but you never know. OOps, never mind, with your edge - you are screwed without a real lift pump.

Sorry for the lack of info. First off let me say I am working with a completely stock fuel system except I have the replacement cap that Dr. Evil posted above from Geno's. I have the pressure sending unit screwed to the top of the cap. I have a Auto Meter electric gauge Mounted into a three gauge pillar pod. I have the power for the gauge coming out of the red wire with yellow stripe under the dash. Now when I turn the key on the needle on the gauge bottoms out for about 10 seconds and makes a buzzing noise. Also what pressure should the gauge read once I do get it working? Thank you all for the help. Oh and Wyatt Erp I know a Fass or Airdog is in my future just couldn't pass up the half off edge so that came first .

i understand about the deal but by running it like you are you are doing more damage than fun at this point.
i know nothing about autometer product as they seem to be very problematic (sorry for the bad news). I know many don't have issue but I replaced a couple with ISSPRO mechanical ones and they have no reported issues. (as far as I know anyway).
If the gauge is working correctly (which you need to test with a mechanical one and a replacement banjo bolt at the pump to be sure) it should read 8 psi for your truck at idle and no less than 4 at WOT. anything different and I'd be worried.

well It looks like I may need a new gauge for the simple fact that the one I have reads from 0-100 PSI. Won't do me much good unless I upgrade the lift pump soon. I think a 0-30/50 gauge would work a lot better with my setup. As for the edge I have only ran it on any thing other then lvl 1 four times in the last month that I have had it. I haven't read anything about the banjo bolt it isn't a hard install is it? Thank you all again for the info talk to you soon.

A couple of things - this cap give you prefilter readings. I like to see the pressure after the filter. No big deal though this should work just fine for you.
Electric guages are ok but 0-100 range isnt so good - thats a fuel pressure guage for a gasser with a high pressure fuel pump. Make sure you have good grounds all around. This may mean that you have to scrape a little paint off where the guage is grounded, or run another ground.
If you have an electric guage you will want to have a temporary mechanical guage you can use to verify pressure when/if your electric guage starts acting up. A few fittings and some 1/4" air brake line and a pressure guage is all you need (this doesnt have to be a fuel pressure guage - any mechanical pressure guage will work). You can run the line under the hood opening and tape the guage to the windshield while youre checking the pressure at wide open throttle.
