Passwords on important sites
i have to share this boring stuff because more and more it's becoming important..
i do business with wally world. they have a retail link web site that allows us invoice them and it also allows them to send us purchase orders.
a couple of weeks ago i had to do a routine change of my pass word to gain access to their site..... Easy huh, no not at wally world....
they now require that the password have upper and lower case numbers and symbols as well as upper and lower case letters and be at lest 8 digits long...
hackers now have become so smart that upper and lower case letters only are easy for them break into.... i guess they have programs now that can break your password codes....
so remember if you have a pasword for something important like your bank account you might consider an upper and lower case alpha numeric password.....
super boring info i know but maybe worth considering.

The bank i use, have a 3 step, first lock in, then use a key generator with a password, then it shows 4 more digits there have to match. Wife has one and i have one, i color marked them with a paint pen.
Any activity is tracked by what keygenerator is used.
Each person have to call to set it up.
Works great, took a couple of day to get the hang of it

haha.. my management codes at my work have to be replaced weekly.. 16 digits. has to contain upper and lower case at least 6 numbers and atleast 4 symbols.. do you know how much of a betch that is to remeber?
lukily about a month ago they implemented a new security measure.. passwords are still changed.. but they do not have to be typed in.. i have a usb jump reader looking like thing.. first thing i have to do in the morning when i show up is upload my password into it every morning and at lunch and everytime during the day i need my password or passwords i just plug it into the terminal im using.. pretty sweet.. its got 4 buttons on it and i have to press them in sequence to make it work (we change the sequence on it daily in case a snoopy employee watches and trys to "borrow it, even though that would be hard as i keep it in my pocket) a lot easeir and like 100 times more sequre.. i dont know what it actually is but it looks just like a jump reader.
