Default 6.7 warranty and factory info

bad thing about any tuner you put into the truck is that it can void the warranty even if you remove it.the ecm in all the 6.7`s have an engine run time counter that resets whenever it is tampered with. it measures time in seconds. whenever I touch any 6.7 still under warranty or not I am required to do a chrysler/cummins diag sheet and another sheet called a S.N.O.T.S. card (stuff not of this system).yes thats the real name of it to.. engineers claim it is a fuel problem on these trucks. we typicaly remove and clean the EGR system, drop the tank and clean it and reprogram the ECM with the newest cal updates. as of 9-30-09 there is no program or update on these trucks that can lock you out of the ECM/PCM. as far as it being fuel goes I dont believe it being a problem,I find dirt in the system all the time. we drain the tanks on these trucks and put 10 fresh gallons in them, the fuel that we take out gets disposed of.
use the exhaust brake two or three days out of the week if you can.I dont recommend leaving it on forever but frequent use helps it stay clean and keeps the stupid P2262 away.
If that code shows up twice we replace the turbo.
If anyone has any questions about these trucks and the stock form of what should be let me know.
best of luck to anyone with one of these trucks.

from what I have seen is it was just one controller update that caused that problem with the tuners. that update was only around for about 3 weeks on dealer connect.

I wish I could reverse the EB switch that way I would not have to turn it on every time I get in the truck... Anyone know how?

i wish i could get mine to stay on in low gears. 3rd gear is the lowest it will work in. about 1100 rpms it stops workin. when you have 17 rolls of hay on a trailer coming down a one lane road hill with blind curves is not good.

I want to get a box for my truck. I can not decide what to get? I do not want to Void my warranty. if i was to get the smarty when i take it off can the dealer see that it was on there? I had the Edge on my last truck and loved it.
