Stock exhuast manifold vs. Aftermarket
Hey guys im in need of some serious advice. Ive been bouncing back and forth as to whether or not I need to install a aftermarket exhaust manifold, say one from ATS Diesel. Ive got the money, but Im wishy washy on wether or not its worth it. Ive done some research on it and it seems they will only drop me down about 100 degrees And relieve back pressure but I want to know how much? ANy help or thoughts or comments of the subject would be helpful! Thanks

depends on how much lag your experiencing now too. an aftermarket manifold will help reduce lag, temp and backpressure as you've already researched. but by reading your sig... polish off your twin set-up with a nice manifold it can't do anyworse than make your smile wider and money pool shallower. i don't have much experience with it; just what i've read and heard. i'm sure there'll be someone else with more to add

I have an ATS, and I can't really say for sure how much it changed anything because I changed that and the injectors at the same time. A lot of the high performance turbos say they require an aftermarket manifold. Also, aftermarket exhaust manifolds that are three piece, are less likely to crack than a stock one.
