Default Smarty Half Power

I am looking at the Smarty and Smarty Jr., but currently don't have any gauges so it seems to be safe I should stick with the Jr. However, I am very interested in using the Smarty for the half power setting since a majority of the time the truck is driven is in town. Does anyone have any hand calulated figures on how the Smarty on half power increases fuel economy?

If I did decide to get the Smarty and was towing our 8,000 camper, would running it on the lower levels do any damage?

i think the main reason for the half power setting is like for around town when black smoke is absolutely not an option (Cali and NJ come to mind)

Anything above that setting is gonna be higher then the stock setting so its gonna be makin stuff work harder and be under more stress but i think most guys with stock tranny's if they are under SW #5 they are fine...

If you aren't running any gauges, I'd go with the JR Smarty. SR is way too volatile in my book.
