Default stock powerstroke intercooler - still useful?

Hi all, I'm a total noob on your forums I'm used to TurboBricks | High Performance Volvo Club playing with little 4cly volvo turbos.
I got pointed here after posting a craigslist add to sell my stock powerstroke intercooler. I got it to use on my 4cyl turbo volvo, it's so close to fitting it's scary. Anyhow I've come to the conclusion that I don't really feel like cutting out part of my frame rails to fit the sucker so I've put it up on the market.

I'd really like to know if there's any use for the stock all aluminum powerstroke intercooler (Core dimensions are 30"x18"x2" Overall width is 39") in stock applications. Does everyone just scrap the stock intercoolers and go aftermarket like us turborickers do with our tiny T3 .48trim volvo turbos? I know that an intercooler that would be plenty big for a 2.3ltr gas turbo dosn't nessisarly translate into good for a 6+ ltr diesel.

I'd like to sell my powerstroke, but I'd also like to know if there's still a market for them in powerstrokes, or other diesel trucks.

Any info you guys got would be great to get. Let me know if I'm barking up the wrong tree.

If you want you can turn this into a intercooler upgrade pro/con thead that'd be fine too.

I look forward to reading your responces

Seems if memory serves me rightly, the all aluminum cores are from econoline vans with the 6.0 or 7.3 trucks.

It's worth something to the right person.

Where are you located?

I would be interested in it as well, but I'm in Washington state so the shipping might be painful.

Either of them can be used on either of them, but they are different!

glad to know some of you could put it to good use. PM me with your Email and I'll send you some pics of it if you're interested. Shipping would be around 40-50$ to lower 48 states. I'd like to get $200 + actual shipping for it.

I'm in SF bay area if anyone's local

I'm sorry I don't know what truck it came off of. It's core detentions are 30"x18"x2" Overall width is 39" The P.O. tigged threaded mounting points onto the end tanks (unless they were stock?) The outlets were changed with 2.5" pipes

I got pics if anyone want's to make a guess, from my reasearch (google image search) it seems to be from a 7.3ltr

Um...7.3 IDI isn't a "Powerstroke" and wasn't charge air cooled.

The core looks like it's all aluminum. Most likely a 99-03 7.3 core.
