Default 09 TDIs...

My mom is thinking of getting one of these '09 Sportwagen TDIs and since my dad and I are going to be the ones to work on it I was wondering if anyone had any info on them, good and bad. Dad is extremely leary of VW/Audi after having them come in the shop with really off-the-wall electrical problems and expensive/weird mechanical issues.

I give VW credit for building a good looking, tight, quiet diesel but little/odd problems drive me nuts. I want to avoid to avoid them. So lets hear it guys, I know someone here has something.

Its all about how good your dealer is. If they suck like most then you are hosed. If its like my local dealer in Virginia Becah then you are set.

But what is most important is the support in the enthusist world is really good on the Fred's TDI Page. TDIClub.com. VW TDI Enthusiast Community and any problems that come up will have already been encountered and solved. If your mom gets one and your dad has a good shop or if he is a good tech then he can solve any problems you "MIGHT" encounter with the help of the tdi club. Seriously.
