Default modifying leaf packs

Okay I've been searching on pirate but haven't found anything general to help me and I'm not gonna post.

I've got 48" leafs on the front of my truck. they are 2-3" W350 superlift springs. with the weight of the truck on them, they sit pretty much flat. I know people switch the leafs and add them and stuff. What could I do and how much more lift could I get without getting new packs? If I can a little more arch, it'd be way easier for me to correct my caster. I want to keep the short springs if I can, they work out a lot better with the frame angles.
Just some general info on how this is done. Just take off the lower leafs, get ones with more arch and clamp them down?

If you just try to change the arch with a single stiffer spring with more arch you will end up just cracking the rest of em. You can add lift blocks but the more space between the pack and the axle makes axle wrap more of a problem. Don't know what your hangers look like but sometimes you can add longer hangers or turn the current ones upside down if they face upwards. Other then that it's a new pack with more arch.

god damnit I've written this reply 3 times already and keep hitting a button or shutting off the computer

I'm just talking fronts. There's a lot of **** I'll have to cut and re fab to drop the hangers down lower, and it'll look uber gay. What I need to do actually is set my shackles up higher in the frame to give me more caster, but if i move them right now the packs would sit on the frame rails because of the way the chev IFS frame is shaped in the front. If I could just get a couple inches of arch I could do it and not hit the frame. I'm not looking for way more lift, I just need some arch in the packs. More lift won't hurt, stiffer ride won't hurt, just need some arch in the springs for cheap.

You can have the springs re-arched by a shop if there is enough room to do this and still fit hangar to hangar but the arch will probably be short lived. Really the only way I would know of is new spring packs. They really aren't as expensive as you would think, at least check em out as an option if you really want to do this. These guys do good work, quick and will custom fab whatever you tell em you want. Custom Suspension
