Default "BROKEN IN?"

At how many miles would you all consider to be broken in? Mines got 111,516. I have heard lots of different ideas.

It depends alot on how the vehicle is used. If you use your pickup as a commuter car in stop and go traffic you may never fully get "broken in". Diesel engines have a keystone design piston ring which as boost pressure increases so does the outward force on the piston ring to the cylinder wall. I work on heavy equipment for a living and engines that are used hard all day every day are less of a problem child than the ones that are babied. JMHO

I agree with above, also being a heavy equipment wrench. those who baby their diesels are asking for trouble, they were designed to run under a load.
