Looks useless to me but to each their own I guess.

 

I'd bet it is for pulling, Alot of rules in anything above work-stock say you must direct exhaust upward.

 

And if he really id free reving that thing to 5,000 RPM (Does not sound like it) then it wont be long till she lets go.

 

Yup, theres a couple trucks around here with setups like that. Like Bobby said its for pulling. Rules here say must be turned up or straight down for safety. And hell yes that is the highest reving 7.3 I've heard! But not a good way to show it off

i was gonna say it was ffor pullin most likely, but ive been beat to it. mine would of had to have that setup if i wanted to pull in bowling green at ts, and there were some there with that setup.
