What exhaust are you guys running? MY 84 6.2 has stock pipes with straight pipes in place of mufflers, of course the truck wasnt built with cats, so I didnt have to take those out. Very loud. Truth be told, loudest thing in town.

 

i got stock 2.75 inch with more crimps and bends you could dream of but i want a 3 inch downpipe into 4 inch exhaust with resonater and a six inch black single stack

 

I love my 5" stacks

3" downpipe, 4" exhaust, 5" stacks

 

Does it sound like a diesel? Or does it sound like a loud V8? 6.2/6.5's dont seem to sound like diesels when they have big exhaust.

 

This is a video right after the installation. Its not the best video but hopefully I will get a better one up soon . Also it is a little deeper at the lower rpms now as well because I installed the F intake after this video.

To me... my truck still sounds like a diesel with the stacks. But thats me and my friends maybe your ears are different
