315's on '99 Dodge 3500
16x8 is the stock rim size. If your running stock rims you will NEED at LEAST 1/4in spacers on the front. Otherwise get some aftermarket rims with added back spacing. They will fit without leveling.
I am running 285s on my truck and I have one spacer ring on the passenger side front wheel, that is how it was when I bought the truck used. I dont have the raking issue I had on my previous 98 Dodge 4x4. I had a 2" leveling kit and 2" body lift on that truck and even on 285s it still raked on the passenger side when I turned towards the right hand direction. It didnt matter what brand tire I was running. As for fitting in the wheel well, as far as I understand 315s should just clear without a leveling kit.
i have 315's on mine. i also have aftermarket wheels. i have a leveling kit but my front bumper brings it back down damne near stock height. i have no problems rubbing at all unless i take a turn into a paking lot or something to fast and then it rubs. other that they are great.
