Default 2000 7.3 won't start

I went to install an electric brake controller and shorted out the pos red wire under the dash for the elec brakes. Now my truck wont start, I checked all fuses both in the cab and under the hood and found a large 30 amp gone under the hood and replaced it but it doesn't start. I also unscred the filter and turned the key, lots of fuel but I noticed no smoke from the tail pipe.

Help
Murray

HHHMMMMM Wish I was there. I have never been good at electrical unless I can put my hands on it.

Check all your fuses. Underhood, under the dash, all of them...
