Default Project No 3 93' 1/2 on 85' 6.2 4wd frame. Any advice, help?

OK, so I drove a 85' 4wd suburban 6.2 home for $500. It has 2 brand new 31x10.50 tires fairly new TH700R4 trans NP208 and 1/2 ton axles (3.42?) It started and ran great with some noticable knocking, sounds like inj. nock went away and smoothed out, but after 135miles home it's knocking again. Surely this isn't a rod? It misses w/the knock so has to be inj right? I'm going to pick-up another truck in a few min. It has a blown 6.5TD Turbo is suposed to still be tight. I'm wanting to stick turbo on 6.2. I'm told the TD exhaust won't fit w/6.2 inj so 1 ? is can I install the 95' TD inj in the same hole? This whole chassis is going to get a 93' long bed wraped around it so it will be solid axle. Anyhelp on the knocking and inj swap?

6.5 stuff should fit on the 6.2 block, easiest would be the 6.5 complete, need to know what is wrong though with each of them, injectors won't interchange early 6.2 heads had coarse thread injectors, to use the turbo if 6.5 block is toast, use the 6.5 heads on the 6.2 block, you'll need to modify for oil supply and drain for the turbo also. 95 IP requires a electronic control, so you can't use that IP, you'll need a mech IP, search for Pensacola Fuel Injection on ebay, they do good work and also about best prices on remanned IPs.
