Hey guys,

I have a buddy that has a 06 Duramax and he has the Banks Six-Gun on it with a FASS, water/meth injection, trans shift kit, and 5" exhaust. Here lately we haven't been too impressed with the Banks and his truck gets like 13 mpg. I'm a cummins guy and I read that you really dont stack anything with these duramax's. Do you guys think he should ditch the Banks and go with EFI Live or PPE? Also, what kind of numbers are you guys runnin on your fuel mileage with these trucks?

 

i would go with efi. usually when you buy it from a vendor on here theyll give you at least 1 free tune.i went from a bout 15 to 18 mpg with everything iv done on mine

 

i got 14mpg with bad injectors something is not right. You can stack tuners, or you can get the sure thing.

 

I would highly recomend looking at the new Edge Evo race. That is what I run, and they have proven to be nothing short of great for the 06+ trucks.

i got a 06 duramax too and the six gun works great...so times the maf senors goes or the low fuel pressure but other than that its good

 

banks six gun sux get rid of it, get efi or ppe

 

i would get rid of that banks junk go with ppe when i got my dodge it had the 6 gun on it had nothing but problems and trying to get help from banks customer service is a joke so i 86 it and got ppe im jamin now

 

PPE or EFI.... thats what i would go with, well did...

 

i have six gun and get 15 mpg driving hard 18 mpg if i drive normal

 

I still have a perfectly good BANKS 6-GUN with the POWER PDA that I removed when I put in my DSP5/EFILIVE. If you are looking for a foolproof way of turning up the power without having to worry, the BANKS is perfect. I would not put in EFILIVE unless you have done at least some trany work or have some self control.

If some one wants to buy my old BANKS 6-GUN w/EGT sensor, I am taking offers.
