I need to get some info for one of my buddies. He has a 04.5 lly. I need to get some help on what performance mods he needs to be about 500 - 550 hp. The exhaust, intake and tranny upgrades are a givin. But what programmer or chip would do the best job. Its mainly for a daily driver too. But if i could get some info on set ups to reach these hp numbers that would be awsome. thanks guys.

 

EFI Live or PPE

 

If he wants to play that hard, the only way to go is EFI Live.

you can get just a EFi live dsp5 switch if your not to crazy about doing the whole tuning your self. idk where your locatered but i know crank it up diesel in ohio does a good job for $350 and i heard danville performance in indiana does it for $500 and dynos it there.

 

PPE is capable of making 500+ RWHP, but does not have the adjustability that EFI live has. There are ALOT of places to get EFI Live that will give you some tunes as well. Nick @ Duramaxtuner.com, Pat McSwain @ McRat Racing (Home of the worlds fastest Stock Turbo'd DMAX, Land Speed Record Holder) among the ones listed. I believe Brayden Fleece @ Fleece Performance does custom tunes as well.

 

I did a lot of research for a good tuner for my LLY and JMO but Idaho Rob is a very good tuner. I am not taking anything away from anyone else at all, I just found alot of guys with LLY's running his tunes and I could not find anyone with a complaint.
