Howdy folks,
I'm getting the windows on my truck tinted on friday, but I'm having some problems figuring out what shade I want them. I'm basically wanting to get it to the point that you can't see into the truck very well at all, but I don't want to get it so dark that it makes it real hard at dark. Right now I'm marked down for 15%, but I was thinking about maybe getting it down to 10%. What do you's think?

I have 20 on the fronts and limo on all the rest. You cannot really see in but you can see out decent.

Other have theirs darker but I cannot figure out why. Mine are dark even illegal, why would you want to draw more attention to yourself?

 

i have 5% all around on mine and 35% on the whole front windshield.... ya it's illegal.... who cares..... on my expedition i have a layre or 5% on top of 20% all the way around..... that is between 1% and 0%.... i saw it bouncing on the GSP's meter......

 

so how do you think 10% would be? And would there be any problems at night?

 

I'd go with the 15%. I had that on my Tacoma, it was perfect. I was kinda in the same boat you are when I got it done. It worked out real good for me

Go the darkest you can! I went from 35% to 20% and now im taking the truck back in for 5% on the back and side windows then Im going to have 20% on the front window at the very top 5" and from the bottom up to just above the dash so Ill have a 16" or so strip thats not tinted. Its going to look good!! 20% is dark (see pic) but not dark enough to where I want it. Night driving is not a problem but backing up is a window roll down job!


NOTE this is on a overcast day so it looks a little bit darker

Yeah I deffinently want darker than that, looks like 10% it is.

 

Anything more the 20% you well have to roll down your window to see out at night.
