A buddy of mine has an 08 PSD with 6" lift and 35's. He just did turbo-back exhaust, CAI, and a 275hp Spartan tune. He's been talking crap about how fast his truck is ever since he got it done. Well yesterday, he was in town and we got to run them. Keep in mind, my truck is on the 160hp tune, but he doesn't know that. We ran them from about a 35mph roll and were dead even up to about 100mph. We did it twice with the same result. He called me later and said "That Dmax runs pretty good. You're the only one that has been able to run with me." And then I told him I still had 65 more hp to go.
He couldn't believe mine was faster than his. I don't think he'll be running his mouth to me anymore.

Missing something here...he has a 6" lift with 35" tires, are you running factory tires and lift? Some may disagree but that is the diference between a paper airplane and a brick. If you did that to yours you would need that extra 65 hp. Ive never been next to a new Powerstroke 6.4, do they run good from the factory?

 

I know they can put out about 500hp with just a good tune. I think if that truck was stock height the DMAX would have had a hard time outrunning it even with the extra 65 HP. But as it was the run was still impressive. EIther one could probably out run my truck.

 

I have no doubt that it would have been different if was stock height. You would just have to know the guy. He is so full of poop he stinks. He was running his mouth about his truck being faster than mine, and I shut him up.
