need help with DPF delete project
Well I wasn't in the mood, but my kit came in yesterday and rather than mowing the lawn, I thought, what the heck, it's a good a day as any to go ahead and do the stage 2 DPF delete. First off I don't think I could recommend this project to anyone with out a lift, but that's me. My first question is the muffler. Is the filter pipe welded into the muffler? I loosened the clamp but there seems to be a rivet or a pin holding the pipe in place. Before I go hacking and cutting stuff I'll need to use again, does this pin need to be drilled out? Thanks.

I got it. The pin is holding the clamp onto the muffler, does not pass through and hold onto the f*%#*# DPF pipe. After a little "finesse" it came loose. It might be a good idea for future reference to start at the front and work your way back. After I got everything else off, I had more room to pull on it.

All finished and then oh oh. Seems as though there is more than one application out there. The straight pipe does not fit mine. The bungs are in the wrong position and they are too big. The nuts for my pyro tubes fall right through. I just e-mailed the vendor. It'll probably be Monday before I hear back. Anyone out there have info as to why my application is wrong? 2007 Dodge Ram Quad Cab, 6.7 liter Cummins Turbo Diesel
