Aux. Fuel Tank behind stacks
ok as the title says i have stacks in my truck and want to put a 50 gal fuel tank or so between the stacks and the fron of the bed, if i did this would any problems arise due to heat with the stacks or should i be ok?
yeah i would keep a good 1-2in gap from the stacks, but you shouldnt have any problems the stacks only get to about 400 degrees and that shouldnt heat the diesel up enough to catch fire, and if they do thats what we have insurance for
I have personally seen, from a distance, someone weld a diesel tank that was 1/4 full. I doubt that him putting a tank by his stacks will jinx him that bad.
But of course Murphy is reading this thread .... and like Chuck Norris ... He Lays in wait
I've seen a guy weld a leaking fuel tank on a scraper with fuel running out of the crack. Lots of fire but on explosion.
Do you think there would be extra evaporation with the heat? I'm wanting to cut down my fuel tank and make it fit with the stacks.
