Default Ford F350, 6.4

Want to buy new Ford F350, 6.4, Harley Davidson. Is Ford planning on any major changes and or upgrades in 2010/11 for the Super Duty? I have a Ford, 2004, F250, Harley Davidson, 6.0. No problems, great truck. Replaced tires with new Michelin, made a significant difference in ride, and slight increase in mpg.

6.4 has to pass the 08 emissions standards, not the '10 standards. AFAIK, the 09 Super duty is the same as the 08.

The tires on the 08 SD Harley truck, I've found, are quite loud, and get cupped/belt shift real easily.

he was asking about the 2010/11 trucks not the 09, but the only current engine that will pass the 2010 emissions is the cummins, that is why ford and chevy are both redoing there engines in the next year or so

It seems a waste of money, changing engines every couple of years just to pass emission

FWIW, Ford is still using the 6.0, which DOES NOT meet the 2008 standards. We'll see what happens with the 6.7 Scorpion.
