ok guys here it is, im forcing my-self to do a shollow debomb if neccessary. since no-body can o-ring a head around here im just throwing the stock head back on
but with the studs of course. my question is since i know a stuck headgasket will support the boost im pushing but ararently not the pacbrake. will a standard head gasket support the pressure of the exhasut break? if not, its up for sale

i still have the head, here is the story, back in novermber i blew the headgasket, got a smoking deal for a complete o-ringed head, ported exhaust and valve springs, for $400 so i jumped on it. the deal seemed legit considering it was from C&N DIESEL PERFORMANCE, here locally, pulled it off to rebuild the engine and noticed there were cracks between every intake and exhaust valve, had it magnafluxed and its cracked into the valve seats on multiple seats. i call NICK at C&N DISEL and he new about it but didnt tell me
so now he wont tak it back because he said he was doing be a favor by selling me this head, f-in putz, it makes me mad that a diesel shop for 6 years would go so low

I don't see why not. I'm running all stock with an exhaust brake and haven't had any problems out of it. Just don't get started on the DPF EGR tangent... 
Unless you're running extremely high static compression, and making tons of boost, you shouldn't have anything to worry about.

i rarly excede 20psi on daily basis unless someone tryes messing with me then i can hit 45, but i dont think that is enough to worry is it? i know the head studs will help alot

The brake won't create that much back pressure to lift the head. Also when the brake is on the truck won't be under a load since it takes about 3 sec of no throttle b4 the brake will kick on...
