I have a 2001 chevy 2500HD with the 8.1 gas motor. I am looking at putting a Duramax in its place, has anybody done this? To me it looks like a simple swap, I already has the allison trans in the truck, just wondering what other modifications I would have to do if any. My plan is to try an find an 2001 or 2002 that has been wrecked and swap everything over.
