Default 4BT in W100

I've already gotten some help from ImsoAmish but there is a few other things I need to find out.

I've heard that the 4BT unlike the 6BT uses chevy bellhousing bolt pattern. Does this mean if I want to stay auto I will have to get a GM tranny. If that's the case what is a good non-computer controlled 4 speed auto tranny?

Also do I have to swap my tank? I've heard that diesels use more pressure and you have to change something in the thanks to keep it from collapsing from the pressure. Is this true and what has to be done to remedy it.

The blocks all have the same bolt pattern. Bellhousings and flywheels are all optional parts at the factory to meet the applications need, so depending what the engine came out of, dont count on it actually bolting up to anything.

Nothing special needs to be done with the tank unless its already got an intank pump. all it needs is a draw tube and a return line (which should dump to the bottom of the tank to avoid aerating the fuel). the lift pump is on the engine so all of the pressure is between the lift pump and injection pump (which is about 20psi)
