looking for a fast daily on a budget
what im looking for is a truck that will give me the most bang for my buck. I will be working with a limited budget, especially if I pick up a payment.
I like both the d-max and the cummins. it seems there both capable of insane power. it also seems that the dodge trannies are a bit weak, I wont be able to build a trans, at least not for a while. what truck will react better to modest mods. with each truck where do you start getting into the danger zone with driveline components. ive heard 50-70hp only on the dodge autos, I have no idea with the allisons. if I go cummins would I be able to get away with more if I go manual, I know it will loose boost between shifts, but this will be primarily a street truck anyway. thanks.

cummins... can do CAI, exhaust, chip, injectors, and be making about 250 more horsepower on those mods alone. which will e great consider it being somewhat ofa DD, and will not hurt anything and still be reliable
you should be fine. keep in mind that the 250 horsepower isnt all going to the wheels. i would say you will be fine as long as you dont go slamming the gas at every chance you get..
