We regret to inform you that due to the economy, we have decided to cancel the 2009 season and close Diesel Hot Rod Association. Our lives have been so touched by all of you, our fans, racers, pullers and supporters.

Well alot of the competitors didn;t like the DHRA. Said it was VERY unorginized and a few guys got stuck on payouts (won classes but never recieved teh $$$) so I would not see this as an indication of things to come.

i heard about this a long time ago , maybe someone was taking a lil' too much off the top? , if they were unable to pay purses one would think the entry fees should cover the winnings
