Theres two fuel line that run from the hard metal lines on the frame rail - one is supply and one is return. They likely need to be replaced. Im surprised that the truck is even running. They usually leak air in and cause the fuel system to become airbound.

Replace them only with diesel rated fuel hose. Do not use regular hose for gasoline - it will quickly degrade and you will have to replace them in a short period of time - and its not a very nice job. As well, FYI, there are two at the tank and they should likely be replaced as well.

The hose is 3/8" for the supply and 5/16" for the return. You will need roughly 6 feet of each if you want to0 replace both front and back lines.

BTW, welcome to the site.

Here is a good place to get the hose:

scroll down near the bottom of the page: LarryB's Dodge starting problems solved here.

also, I believe Vulcan Performance carries it as well:

Vulcan Diesel Performance offers DDUSA twin turbos, FireBall injectors, DrawStraws, Big line kits, FASS fuel pumps, Parker bio fuel line, Quadzilla products, DTT Transmissions, Isspro gauges, High Tech Turbos , Veg pumps, metric adapters & fittings,

I'm not that familiar with the 12v, but, my Haynes manual shows the return line from the back of the head. You might check that line, the gaskets on the banjo fitting may be bad. If it is leaking there, it would leak on top of the trans.

obviously, the first step is to crawl under the truck and try to see where it is leaking.
