Default Pulling loads with traction bars

Ok, i started a thread on this in the cummins aftermarket section, i think here it may get exposure to the people towing loads, since thats what im looking for.

Does anyone here have traction bars on their trucks and tow heavy loads? I want to put traction bars on my truck to stop the axle wrap out here in the sand where i live. I also occasionally haul some heavy loads, up to 20 round bales on a 40' gooseneck. This makes the truck sit on the bumpstops. I want to make sure i wont hurt anything since the traction bars want to make the axle travel in a slightly different arc than the leaf springs want to move, pushing my pinion down and either hurting u joints or possibly the u bolts.

Anyone that tows and has traction/ladder bars and has pics of there exact setup would be really helpful.

Thanks

That is the reason that I am putting traction bars on my rig. I will get them finished and installed around the first of the year then I will post some pictures.

I made up a set of traction bars just haven't installed them yet (Hoist gets installed monday)
Like you I haul 20 round bales. Plus a lot of other heavy loads. As far as I know there are no problums towing heavy with traction bars. Might not hurt to put on a set of air bags to keep the truck from squating.

I am planning on building a set for my truck and was wondering if that since as the suspension cycles, it will try to compress the bars, not stretch them, would it be beneficial to set them as short as possible to let the suspension cycle freely untill what little bit of play/slack is taken out of the bars, so as not to put as much stress on them?
