Default Billet Aluminum Rods?

You Guys think that some Billet Aluminum Rods would hold up to the Torque of the almighty diesel. I figure I could have some made out of T6061 Aluminum. Lighter than Chromoly and just as strong a Stiffer metal. You could have them heat treated and shot peened as well.

I put some in my buddys 4G63 motor he pushing little over 500 HP He still daily drives it and has no problem.

Less rotational mass would help out in many ways. I could see running this with a counter weighted crank have the best of both worlds.

Just some ideas. Looking for some input here I can have my friend draw them up in the computer have him run computer test but the true test would be in a engine.

This goes for Powerstrokes Cummins and Duramax.

it sounds like it could work to me. but like ya said the only true test woud be to test them in a vehicle. so if ya would like to donate them to me i would not turn them down

after doing some more research turns out there is some people running them in pullers and racers but not as daily drivers The over abuse of the torque and what not is making them weae over time so they need to be replaced ever so often.
