Just picked on up today! $400! It runs awesome and the body is in good shape, needs some floor work but other than that its awesome for $400! Any of you VW guys have any tips for these things? It's N/A...for now Anywho..I'm going to go work on this little beast, get 'er ready for some Winter driving..

Haha, yeah they did, took it up to work and fixed all that on the weekend though.

 

manual or auto? does the heater work?

 

5spd manual and the heater blows the hottest air of any vehicle i've been in....so hot that the cold setting on the lever actually means warm I think it might need some new rubber engine mounts, a little vibration under steady cruise and it goes away under load, like while getting up to speed from a light etc...

 

sweet. something like that is so much funner as a manual than an auto......

Btw I just had to fill up for the first time since I got it for 36L of #1 for $.971 per L that lasted for a total of 670kms! Woohoo! This little thing is great!

which is approx 43mpg, about 50/50 city-highway....I think there still more in it

 

i bought a 91 a couple years ago ....got her runnin good now ....still dont think milage is where it should be though
your right on about the heat ...hot as hell in that little thing
