big tires and gas mileage
So right now i am planning on stepping up to 33" tires with a 20"rim. i dont think i am going to have to lift anything. i have crank up my tortion bars so i have more clearance in the front. BUT i've always wanted my truck to be big and have always thought about getting 35inch tires. I figure i will have to lift my truck if i get them. but will that hurt my fuel mileage alot? i've always heard that lifting a truck and putting bigger tires on it hurts your fuel economy. which makes sense. but if it isn't that bad like maybe 1mpg worse or so then i think i'll be fine with that.
well if you readjust your speedo for the bigger tires than you will be fine, but yeah i dont think you'll lose too much if any and should be fine...if you readjust your speedo for bigger tires you'll loose some bottom end but not too much and should still be able to smoke some ricers
I run 33.5" tires on 20 " rims on my LBZ and its not hard to bust off 20mpg if I drive nice. It rubs at full turn and in reverse its a lil worse. Parking lots suck, cause when I try to turn into them, everyone can hear it rubbin..
yeah KC my friend just bought an 06 DMAX a few months back and the turning radius on them trucks suck to begin with, it took him a while to get used to it jumping from his 97 Cummins to this 06 DMAX
well i reckon i'll just lift it a couple inches and get the 35s... even though... i got a awesome deal on the 33s and 20s. 33" nitto terra grapplers and 20" kmc xd series monsters for $1800 i turn just fine with the stock centerlink on there, but i got a straight one on there and damn u turns take skill now
