So in a few weeks I'll be going down to Lima, Ohio, for the 4x4 Jamboree. May 18-20th. It's about 3 hours away.
Since I can only make it for friday, I won't be entering my truck. I am interested though, in getting the best mileage I can down there and back, ya know, to brag about, LOL.

Aside from what's in my sig, I should also note I have 38" trxus STS tires, K&N cold air intake, Banks #8 fuel plate, and a 4" down pipe.
So what all can I do to get the very best milage possible for the trip?

What about the AFC position? starwheel? plate position? timing? Best RPM to target?

put every thing back to stock

change all fluids, engine, differentials, trans, transfer, split fire spark plugs make sure proper tire pressure, fuel filter.

probably keep rpms under 3,000

 

I really hope you skip the Split Fire Spark Plugs. I hope that was a joke Bow2, If not your scarin me again.

 

Advanced the timing on my 94 to 14 and it seemed to improve it a little, although I was at 10 to begin with.

Yeah, Dennis, I agree with you, those Split Fire plugs are crap!

 

Ok so I'm thinkin I'll slide the fuel plate, and AFC housing back, tighten up the starwheel, flush the diffs, and transfercase, change the oil, advance the timing, drive like theres an egg under the pedal, and keep it around 60-65MPH. I'm wondering how I know how far to advance the timing, before it starts to hurt fuel economy? Thanks for the responses

 

convert your truck to a low rider....
make sure you have a good air dam.....

keep the rpm's at or below 1750.....
