Anyone use tire balancing beads? I am getting some 295/70R17 toyo m/t's in the next week or two and thought these would be a good addition to the purchase. What do you guys think?

I dont use the beads but I use the balancing goo...........I think I have 7 ounces in each tire with NO lead balance at all and things are very balanced

 

Dangit!! I didn't even find anything about balancing goo!!!
What is the brand of the goo if you don't mind me asking. Thank you for the info sir.

Some say the beads are snake oil - but Ive been running the counteracts for two years now. Ive got 285 muds and the truck rides smooth as glass. Also, the tires are wearing very well.

You should also look at Dynabeads - supposed to be better than the counteract beads:

Its important to use air that has been through an air dryer (or use Nitrogen to fill) - otherwise you can get clumping of the beads.

 

I have the Centramatics and they seem to work pretty well.

 

the tire goo stuff can be applied at most any truck stop..............its for the semis mostly

 

im running the beads in my 37" swampers it only takes 2.50oz. per tire. I tryed the pouder but it didnt seem to work now i use MAGNUIM Great stuff

the nice thing is i vac. it out if i change tires and put it in teh new set, change tires like most change underclothing

 

Yes, and its much cheaper to throw an bag of beads in and get a rim swap done rather than getting tires mounted and balanced.

 

Cool beans!! Looks like I just have to figure out how much to use and if I should use nitrogen with them. These sound like a very innovative product.

Both websites I listed about have a chart that lets you figure out how much youll need.

Off the top of my head, youll need 4 oz of Counteract beads.

I think youd need 4 - 6 oz of Dyna beads.
