Ford Unveils New Transmission Fluid-Mercon LV
New auto trans. fluid going to hit the market in some 2008 models. Article doesn't mention specific models, except the focus, but may end up in all someday.
Mercon V and SP will be used retro in all 2007 and older. SP may soon be replaced with the VI. VI stands for low viscosity and will most likely be made with Group III base stocks.
