New guy here..
Hello everyone,
The webmaster of this site posted a message over on the biodiesel.infopop forum looking for biodiesel techs.
I'll be glad to help in any way I can.
My website is www.MurphysMachines.com and while I sell biodiesel and alternative energy related things, my advice for making biodiesel is always free and plentiful.. (plentiful being the key thing here I think)
I'm an old guy.. a computer geek who was on the internet before most people ever heard the word. I am a 20 year industrial process engineer with expertise in setting up and designing processing systems. I currently work as a freelance engineer designing a range of equipment using what I call "Economic Engineering". That is using the materials, supplies and equipment that are cheaply available to my clients to enable them to build expensive things at minimum cost.
I have been making biodiesel for over a year now and found the process to be just another industrial procedure.. Get the equipment set up correctly and the rest is easy.
I started off when I was searching for a local shop to rent out. A farmer answered my ad and inquired if I knew anything about making biodiesel. I set up shop and we trade rent for fuel. One thing led to another and now I am the local exxon guy that everyone gets biodiesel from.
My fuel powers more vehicles than I care to list but trust me when I say that I think every manufacturer and vehicle is in there.
My advice for those getting into biodiesel,
If you don't want to be treated like a drug dealer, don't tell anyone you are making your own diesel fuel. People get hooked on cheap fuel fast.
While I will respond to messages posted here, the fastest way to contact me is through my website's "contact-us" button.
Hope everyone is doing well and thank you for the warm welcome I got in the other forum.
Some photos to keep you from getting totally bored.
A waste oil heater built from other peoples garbage. No smoke, burns any oil, cost less than $200 to build.

My wife and I are amature photographers. Found this little guy in the woods.

My first biodiesel processor (1/2 of it anyhow)

Me about to stick bambi (photo taken from almost a mile away)

Great to have ya Murphy! I think many of us are very interested in your insight into Bio and veggie fuel. With prices rising the way they are, taking some control back is very intriguing to most....
Welcome to the site!
