Default Boone Pickens Energy Plan

Boone Pickens is convinced that he can reduce our dependency on foreign oil drastically by increasing the number of wind farms and using other domestic resources.

I've seen some of his theories. They seem pretty good. I just wonder if anyone is listening.......

I'm not sure how much I want to put into Pickens stuff... maybe thats just the OU alum comming out in me... but he seems to be a huge alarmist. Granted, the man has made a crap ton of cash by being a great oil businessman... so who knows... sounds to me he's just saying the things everyone else is saying, but he has the clout to get people to listen...

What you don't trust your alumnae brothers? Didn't Boone graduate from OU? Sure, Pickens will likely make a killing from his wind energy farm in Pampa. And I am sure his hip pocket is in the CNG conversion companies for vehicles as well.

I just saw that Al Gore has a plan as well.

Well, either way -- I hope some people listen to him... we do need wind and solar power... and I also think Nuclear needs to be worked on at the same time

all I know is when we move to our next house, it will have a wind turbine and solar panels, and likely have a geothermal heating/cooling system. I'll be doing my part and I guess thats all I can do...

Yeah, the power companies will almost always, forever be able to generate power more efficiently & affordably than an individual generating plants.
