Default Fuel in Oil! Help

Im going tomorrow to buy a 03 GMC duramax 3500 4x4 4 door dually from a friend that’s fell on hard times for $4000

130xxx true miles (never heavy pulled minus a few hay seasons)
unknown program on the truck
No other modifications
Currently there is fuel in the oil.
According to the current owner it needs injectors and has a cracked head and or gasket. He’s a decent mechanic but has been in a wheel chair for the last couple years so I don’t know how much he really knows about what’s going on. He is a very close family friend damn near family and I know he wouldn’t intentionally screw me.

I’m basically wanting to know what’s the worst case problem that could cause this I’m prepared to pull motor and swap head and injectors on it being the worst in my mind.

Is there a possibility this could be another issue other then the head?

I’ve used diesel equipment I haven’t started in long periods of time just a hot battery and ether and off I go. Is there any concern for this truck sitting that long?

Any info would be appreciated.

Fuel in the oil is usually an indication of an injector(s) failure. Based on the information given, I would go with replacing injectors, both head gaskets, and having your heads thoroughly checked and rebuilt.
