Driving down road got in to throttle a little bit started smoking has new VP 44 and lift pump in tank 2 years ago 324000 on injectors sounds like it’s running on 5 cylinders could a injector be bad

 

Well, that is a lot of miles on a set of injectors but I met a guy that told me his dad has a stock 5.9L Cummins that has about 850,000 miles on it and the only thing done to it is lift pump. A good diesel garage can do a contribution test to see how well the injectors are working. This would be a lot better than asking an on-line forum. I am not being a smart @, I really believe you have an injector problem, and if you do you can ruin the engine driving it in this condition.
