Default Glow plig and fuel gauge

Hello, all first time posting. Just jooned, I have a 94 k3500 6.5 I got from my Dad. I drove it for sometime and then parked it for 2 yrs, necause of a new job that had me on the road. I get home boight new batteries and try to start but no glow plug light or fuel gauge. Before it was parked I did have to bypass ignition switch and add a push button but I had rode it around like that for awhile. I dont know where to start. Anybody have and ideas or advice?

I would start simple. Since it's been sitting, maybe some wiring was damaged by a rodent or something... do a visual inspection of your glow plugs, wiring from them and to the solenoid, and your ground wire. I believe your glow plug solenoid grounds to the back of the passenger side head. If everything looks good, start checking for power. And for the fuel gauge, maybe you don't have any fuel?

Thanks for the reply. I did put fuel in it only $15 thats all the can would hold. I will do as you have suggested and try tracing the wires and check the mounting point for the relay. The fuel gauge even when empty it would cycle upon turning the ignition on atleast from my memory. Currently it doesn't move at all.
