This is upper radiator hose. But the new degas hose looks the same inside which that white silicon gasket type stuff. With nowhere for the o’ring? Does the new degas hose need the O’ring installed still or no?

I have a small antifreeze leak coming off the hose on the bottom of the degas tank (antifreeze fill bottle) changed the hose out with new motorcraft hose from dealer? Question is the old one has a groove for an o’ring to go in it,the new one does not? Any one have experience changing on out? This is an 08 6.4 with 266k on her. Put the new hose on and after cruising down the interstate the small leak appears again only drove it about 20miles started leaking. Doesn’t do it at idle?
