For Christmas I got a set of injectors odd gift and I'm trying to learn a bit about them before I have the shop install them. It's a 97 2nd gen auto 4x4. The injector set I received says 12v5v215-2 best I can find is they are 90 hp injectors. So is that strait up 90 hp increase on my 185hp motor? Also got myself a #6 fuel plate and 3k gov springs & a isspro 3 gage set. I have a shop doing the head gasket and some arp head studs along with all this other fun stuff.

 

ide guess by those numbers that those are stock 215hp injectors. will be a very small hp increase at best over your current one unless your current ones are worn. whos injectors are these? any brand name on them?

and no a 90hp injector wont give you 90hp just like a 300hp injector wont give a stock truck 300 hp to the wheels. that's silly to think that.

 

The box says bd diesel performance brand new stuff. Don't know what drove my dad to think I needed these but I'm not the kind to turn away a gift. If it is small hp gain then thats perfect for my needs. Thanks for setting me strait
