We have an 01 3500 currently used a brush truck for our fire department. Someone put a bulldog system on it a few years ago and there is a programmer on it. We haven't touched the programmer in years. We are having an increasing issue with no power just surging when you take off. Sometime we can put it in neutral and rev it up, put back in drive and it'll be ok and sometimes not. Any suggestions?

 

I had the same issue with my 02 last year. I ordered a kit from Cascade Transmission Parts called a "46RE/47RE governor service kit". $125.00 and very simple to install if you're handy. It's a few springs and plugs that are known to have issues.

 

If you go on youtube and type in "RE" governor pressure solenoid, they have a good video that shows how to install.
