Default Bought a 12 valve

I just bought a 97 12 valve 4x4 automatic with 168,000 miles on it. It has 5x.013 injectors, .025 delivery valves, airdog 2 165, and 4” exhaust currently. I was also given a set of 4K governor springs with the truck. I’m going to use this truck as a daily driver and to haul a livestock trailer so I’d like to build it to be a reliable 350-400hp. I have a few question that hopefully you all can help with to achieve that. Are the 5x.013 and .025 valves overkill for the amount of power I want and if so what would you recommend going to? What else will I need to get that power level I’m shooting for in a reliable setup? I know a better torque converter will be needed and the transmission rebuilt at some point in the future. Thank you for any help.

Hey hinton!
welcome to the forum, fill out your sig with details about your rig including what turbo you have. Seems to me that you have a lot of fuel if you have the hx35, hope you have a pyro and keep a close eye on it especially when towing. if your looking to run a single for towing, you probably want to stay on the smaller side possibly a 62/65/14 or a 63/68/14 or possibly an he351. Im not the exper but delivery valves seem overkill at this power level, likely just making heat. keep it under 40 if you dont get head studs. Does it smoke a lot as is?
