Will a NV5600 (6spd manual) bolt up (replace) a NV4500
I have a 95 3500 4x4, Gen 2 engine (stock), 4:10 gears and a max spd of approx. 70 mph. Will a NV5600 fit where the NV4500 is now? I know this has been asked before but I am just getting started in the Cummins world.
Spline to the tcase is supposed to be the same (29-spline).
I've read about a starter spacer because the 6spd flywheel is different?
I don't know about the overall length, if it changes or not.

I apperciate your input. I have done some more home work and found out the NV5600 is only a single overdrive. I am looking for a newer version that has a double overdrive I think it is a Asiah 6 spd?? But thanks for the input. It helps.
The Aisin AS69RC has 0.77 and 0.63 overdrive.... but its automatic.

Have you looked at a governor spring for your injector pump? (more rpm).
Wht about changing your axle ratio? (Been helping my neighbour swap from 4.10 to 3.54 on his ram 3500.)

I wasn't aware the Aisin was an auto. As far as the gear change I do a lot of off roading and like the lower gears. I actually just increased my tires to 235/85r16's added 2 inchs to the height and dropped the rpm approx 200 rpm. I usually run about 65 - 68 and that will have to work. Thanks again for the information.
