Kubota v2204DI in 50s Willys wagon
Anybody have any experience with this conversion is there a big difference between the 2203 - 2204 in size and fit into the ****** wagon, would turbocharge and Intercool both of these the same, not sure how heavy these wagons are. like to use it as a daily driver but also be able to get on the freeway and go for three hour ride, maybe hook a small utility trailer on & go to the dumps once in while.

Welcome to the weird world of Kubota. Overlanddiesel.com specializes in putting Kubota's in MB's and early CJ's, so they would have all the adapters and mounts to make your swap work. There's also a Youtube channel called WillysJeeper that has a lot of videos on Kubota swapped CJ's and MB's. They do a run to Alaska every year. I personally haven't heard of an 04 series engine, but I know a lot of people run v2203s and use them for everything. I've driven a tractor with a v2203 and it had way more power than it needed.
If you need parts, there's a guy located in Jersey not to far from me that supposedly specializes in *****'s and early CJ's. I have the name of the company around here somewhere.

Anothee guy to look at is Daniel Buck. He did this conversion in a *****’s and he kept the original drivetrain. Super clean and well documented build. I think he’s on here and a couple other *****’s forums, as well as Youtube. FTE and Ken at SPMachining are a big help as well, FTE has done a number of these conversions in Ford’s anda Cherokee, and Ken is working on a full bolt in kit to drop one in a Cherokee, as he’s made a lot of adapters. There’s a lot of really helpful guys out there that’ll be more than willing to share knowledge.
