Default 07 5.9 Cummins Tuner

Been debating on getting either a H & S Mini Maxx or Edge Juice with Attitude. Was wondering what the differences really were and which would be recommended. Only upgrades my truck has is aem cold air intake and 4 inch straight pipe. Don't know of it matter but truck has 8inch lift in 37s.

If h&s is an option I'm assuming it's 04.5+ which means efi live would be your best bet

EFI live has a much wider band of tuning parameters that are used. The edge/ H&S are box tuners so they have x amount of settings that are the same for every truck. As you know not all trucks are identical. Everything from intakes to tires to turbos etc will make the trucks run differently. Having more parameters tunes YOUR truck and does not just load a tune on there. Will edge/h&s provide more power than stock- yes but thy are not the best programs out there

Now how exactly would they custom tune it to my truck especially since I don't have much done besides my air intake, exhaust, and soon a wicked wheel.

Your intake and exhaust are not a performance upgrades. Don't waste your money on a wicked wheel. EFI is more in-depth then box tuners, so with a good reputable tuner they can make your truck run better and you'll get better performance tunes because of the capabilities that they have. Even though don't have any performance upgrades, you'll still get better, cleaner and safer tunes.

EFI uses a V2 that hooks to the OBD ll port- to start you give your info- year make model tire size mods etc. also advise your power goal- in your case you want a MPG tune. They have a single tune or 5 tune Package they will send. When the V2 is hooked up it will reflash the computer with the new parameter/tune they created. Once loaded you can use your V2 software to record your driving and send the file to them. They will look at the parameters of what was recorded and can make adjustments to fine tune to exactly what you are looking for. A good reputable tuner will have you dialed in in just a couple flashes tops unless you get really picky

the V2 is for making the tunes your self. If you have a tuner write you tunes, they'll send you an autocal with the tunes loaded on it.

doesn't matter where you live. Phil at anarchy, Gordon at innovative and Robert at calibrated are all top notch tuners. Do not get tunes from local Joe who does EFI live even though it's cheaper. I've been there and made that mistake once
