Glow Plug Temp interrupt bypass 93 6.5TD
I have a 93 K2500 6.5TD and I am wanting to bypass the temp interrupt for the glow plugs because after its hot and I let it sit for a few minutes it wont start without glow plugs. from what I understand this is a fairly common problem with the 6.2's and 5's. I have seen on other forums people say they have bypassed the interrupt so the glow plugs heat up every time its started but they never say how they did it. From what I understand the interrupt on the 93's is done through the control module not a temp sensor on the block like the older models.

Or if you feel the need a good heavy duty push button and wire it between the the main terminals on the GP actuator make sure it's a button that opens when released.
as I said the glow plugs are not heating when the truck is the slightest bit warm. I am getting fuel and the ip is fine have tested it hot and cold. its just that little period where the truck is still warm enough that the glow plugs wont heat but the truck is cool enough that it wont fire without them. I have changed the gp controller and relocated it off of the head which didn't help.
also would rather not do the push button thing since that makes it real easy to accidentally burn out the gp's. just would like to know how to bypass the thermal interrupt so that it kicks the gp's on and cycles them as if the truck was cold. just like the later 6.5's did after detroit, amg, and gm omitted the thermal interrupt since it caused so many problems...
