on the front of the engine there are two "plugs", one is at the crank sensor bracket and one is at the timing mark bracket. i need to replace the crush seals behind these but im worried about what they might be doing for the timing chain or guides. anyone got an engine they can look at for me (thats apart) or know off hand? these oil leaks are driving me mad

 

Don't know if this will help any, but here is some exploded diagrams.

 

I do not recall what is behind them but they are access ports. They can be removed without issue, I do it on all my engines to clean and paint.

 

thanks bro. pulled them and hopefully fixed those leaks. however ordered the wrong ps pump kit, so ill be doing that again
