Default Smoke at startup and pressurized fuel tank?

I just installed new injectors and ingested my valves. Truck is a 1998.5 has a new vp44 a new fast lift pump with the stock Turbo with a quadzilla 65hp chip. I am in Maine and it's very cold for startups. The truck smokes like hell when it's cold but pretty much stops when warmed up. Smoke color is gray not white or black. Fuel tank is also building up a lot of pressure. I am brand new to diesel engines and a mediocre mechanic. I amlooking for the best direction to go. Maybe I don't have a valve just right? The truck seems to run great.
Thoughts?
Thanks
AL

Cold temps will make bigger injectors haze at idle while warming up.
