Default Auto to manual swap 07 5.9

I've got an 07 5.9 and two days ago the tranny started slipping. I'm just looking for info on swapping out my auto for a manual. I've done this before on my 91 with an nv4500 but this time there's a lot more crap to deal with. Any info would be great thanks

You would need to swap in a new ecm. IMO, not worth it. If you really want, it is possible, but after you get all the parts in and labor into installing those, you'd be better off with a rebuild. Personally, if you even think to attempt a manual swap you'd probably be alright rebuilding your own auto. I did my 47rh on my 94 and intend to do my 48re soon. Just pick up an ATSG manual for the 48re, find a buddy with a shop press, and get the OD spring compressor tool.

Ive never seen a swapped manual on a 3rd gen but im sure someone who has will come in soon

Kinda what I thought. I've got all the tools to do the rebuild. Looks like winter just got a little longer. Thanks
